Diploma Programmes

The College is a member of the Joint Board of Teacher Education (JBTE) and offers the following Joint Board Programmes:

• Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood)
• Diploma in Teaching (Primary)
   

Diploma programmes are offered full time and part time.

• Full time – 3  years
• Part time – 4 years (3 years part time and 1 year full time)
   

We also offer a :

• Diploma Programme in School Leadership & Management
  Target Group: Principals, Vice Principals, Senior Teachers, Trained teachers with at least
                        3 years teaching experience.
  Duration: One Year
  
  Note: Graduates of the diploma programme in School Leadership and Management may receive credits for 2 units which may be applied to the B.Ed in Primary Education degree (MSVU). Therefore you would only need to complete credits for 3 units of the MSVU degree rather than 5 units.

Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) Programmes 

• A B.Ed. in Primary Education is delivered on a part time basis over a two-year period.  The degree is offered in collaboration with Mt. St. Vincent University (MSVU) , Halifax, Nova Scotia.
   

• B.Ed. in Primary and Early Childhood Education is delivered on a part-time basis over 4 semesters. The degree is offered by the Consortium of Institutions for Teacher Education (CITE).
