Criteria for Award:

Applicants should have fulfilled all entry requirements
·
Should have achieved a minimum of “B” average in the previous year’s
College Examinations.
·
Should show evidence of financial need.
·
Should display keen interest in Campus activities.
·
Should show growth in the development of professional and leadership
skills.
·
Recipients will be expected to teach in the Primary School after
Graduation.
The Scholarship will be maintained for the duration of the College
Programme provided the student maintains the above criteria.
APPLICATION DATES:
Applications should reach the Principal’s Office by the end of the
second week of the first semester.
STUDENT LOAN
Franciscan Sisters of Allegany Student Loan Fund
Instituted in 1992
by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany to assist students with their
annual College fees:
To be eligible, students must have:

At least a “C” average
·
Not be failing any courses;
·
Give proof of financial needs;
·
Have a guarantor.
There is 3% interest
charge and the loan becomes payable by the end of the first year after
leaving St. Joseph’s Teachers’ College. Application forms may be
obtained from the Principal’s Office.
Student Welfare Revolving Fund
This is a short term loan fund instituted by the College.
Funding is obtained through various student fund-raising activities.
Maximum loan varies according to individual needs and repayment must be
within three months after receiving the loan. The loan is given
primarily for educational needs such as assistance with fees,
stationery supplied, and teaching practice requirements.
Request for a loan may be made through the Guidance Counsellor.
